Law for the Elderly

While not necessarily a specialist area of law, the needs of elderly clients are such that they require understanding and empathy.

Our team are experienced in providing clear and straightforward advice in relation to the legal matters that might concern you.

Understanding your needs

We know that as you get older, there are certain legal matters that become more important. You want to be confident that you can access expert advice, delivered in a friendly way that is easy to understand.

You may want to safeguard your family’s inheritance, ensuring that you can pass on lifetime gifts. If appropriate, we can also deal with the transfer of property to your children or other relatives.

In the case of Wills and probate, you want to ensure that your estate passes to whoever you want to inherit it.

You may want to appoint someone that you trust to look after your property and affairs. By organising Lasting Powers of Attorney, you could select the person who takes care of your property, financial affairs, health and welfare, should you be unable to due to mental or physical incapacity.

If necessary we are more than happy to visit you at home or in hospital.
